An Interesting Day 

            The US independence day is coming, people have three days holiday. As a famous travel city, Chicago ’s downtown also has more visitors than usual. Today, the wether is very good, the sky is very beautiful. I went to visit The Field Museum. Because now it is during holiday, When I arrived the Field Museum, I saw a lot of people around the Field Museum. But fortunately, I didn’t spend too many times to wait in line. As soon as I entered the Field Museum . Field Museum as one of the largest natural history museum in the world, it include many different cultures exhibition from around the world, such as Indian culture, Mongolia culture, New Land culture and so on. Also, there have many adorable and funny animals and insects exhibition. I am very interested in these things, and I was going to spend an interesting day.

            First of all, When I stood at Field museum, I saw two huge icons. one is dinosaur icon, the other is elephants icon. I still very interested in elephants because elephants is friendly and smart animals. Even though they have a large size, but their nose is very dexterity. In India, Elephant always help man's work, such as transport wood and take care of baby. Two elephants icon of Filed Museum are very realistic. I thought they are mother-child relationship. Their eyes are gentle. From the information presentation, I knew they are African elephants. Today, the number of African elephants have been decreasing because human demand for ivory is threatening the species’ survival. On the other hand, human started to aware of this problem, some people already did some protect elephant work. 

            Then, I was attracted by the noisy buzz. In fact, I am familiar with these noisy buzz. When I heard these voice, I thought summer is coming. That noisy buzz is male cicadas to produce “songs” to attract females. I heard three different species “song”, among them, the third “song” was the most  resonant and sonorous，and the first “song” is the most lowering. Every cicada develop underground for 17 years before emerging as adults. They are come from Asian. So in China, cicadas are a common symbol in art and culture. In addition, they’re mostly harmless-just noisy. If person have patience, they can spend some time to listen cicadas’s “song”. May be they will discover some interesting things.

            

             

         Finally, I visited the jades exhibition. Most of Chinese people all very like jade. In  China’s culture, jade symbolizes nobility and honesty, but also can be used to ward off evil. Today, I also saw a lot of exquisite jades. For instance, imperial book and musical instruments form jade. These people make jade craft is amazing, Even though today's technology is very advanced, when I saw these jade artwork, I still amazing their craft.

         In conclusion, the Field Museum is a amazing place. I saw different animals and artwork, I had a interesting day. Certainly, there are many places I did not to visit, such as different cultures exhibition. Visiting Field Museum can growth in our knowledge, In the future, I will come again.

A Trip to acquiarium

  A Trip to Shedd Aquarium

             Which season is the most beautiful in Chicago. Most of people will choose summer. Certainty, summer also is time for most tourist in Chicago. In order not to waster such good wether, yesterday, the professor took our class went to visit the Shedd Aquarium. Before we left school, we already prepared Shedd Aquarium's map and materials. When we arrived the destination, we saw a long row in front of the Shedd Aquarium' door. we spent more than one hour to wait in line, but I thought it was worth it. I was going to see o lot of interesting and amazing animals.

             First of all , I visited the exhibit was Caribbean Reef. Caribbean Reef likes a beautiful sea world. There have many different kinds of fish. When my classmates and I were watching these fish, a stingray swam around us. I found that stingray has a very interesting face. It has two small eyes and a big mouth. These make it look like  a smile face to people. I waved my arm and said hello to this stingray. It still swan around with us, and like in response to us. It made me felt so amazing.

           

            After we visited Caribbean Reef, we went to see Amazon Rising exhibit. This area introduce some information about life in the Amazon to us. From information and photos, I knew that many people's house close to rivers because it is easy to access fishing and travel. The animals and plants species also are very abundant. I saw the biggest fish as large as shark, and the smallest fish as large as tadpoles. It was very interesting. In addition, I saw the cat fish. Before I heard this name with  fish, I was very curious. However, when I saw it, my curiosity was gone. Cat fish has a beard like cat. I thought that its name is in line with its image.

            Finally, I visited the ocean animals exhibit. I saw jellyfish, sea horses, sea urchins, sea stars and so on. What a beautiful undersea world. These marine animals like works of art, they have different of colors and funny shape. Moreover, when they was in different environment and climate, they can change different color. I tried to take photo to record these beautiful animals, but the photo can not reflect of their beautiful.  Among them some sea animals will face extinction, I hope that human can protect these rare wild animals, and give them a living space.

            To sum up, this is a great trip. We had a very interesting day. I saw a lot of animals, such as stingrays, cat fish, jellyfish. sea stars and so on. However, I also have some interested animals that I did not see, such as dolphins, penguins and sharks. I hope next time I can have the opportunity to continue to learn about these animals. Through this visits,  I knew more marine animals. At the same time, I realized that life is so mysterious and powerful. We should respect life.
